I'm just loving developments in Tamil Nadu politics. Jhand-Nayak ke 'L' lagg gaye hai😂 Amid AIADMK MLAs resignations, CONgress says, "Party can't adopt double standards, can't back horse trading"😂 CONgress has now realised that it's going to be thrown out of Cabinet very soon. 3 AIADMK MLAs have resigned & joined TVK. Soon they will be reelected in bypoll on TVK symbol. There're 20+ AIADMK MLAs waiting to follow them. It means within 7-8 months, Vijay will have full majority TVK Govt & won't need a single alliance partner incl 5 CONgress jokers. CONgress has realised this & has started cribbing. To make things worst, DMK isn't going to take back CONgress even if it's thrown out of alliance by TVK. Vijay has managed number game, but has he walked into a Trap laid by DMK? His smaller partners are all DMK allies & we never know they might pull TVK down at any moment. Allegedly, many DMK leaders face serious cases of Corruption & if FIR is lodged, investigation may reach doorsteps of Stalin also. Isn't it possible that he might have sent those smaller parties to Vijay so that he can pull strings in such case? Next question- for how long Vijay can run this Govt? Is it a stable Govt that can survive for 5 yrs? Especially when greedy hungry parasite like CONgress is in the alliance? Also when Mad Leftists are in the alliance. They are known to poke their nose into everything that they don't understand & keep threatening of pulling out support. Even Manmohan Singh had experienced that during UPA era. How will Vijay manage these mad people? Also. Who is going to be Dy CM? HM? Finance or Revenue Minister? Every power greedy creature will try to grab pie of power. Tough job ahead for Vijay. And... Tamil Nadu drama is not yet over. "Show support of 118 MLAs to take oath tomorrow" Reportedly, TN governor is unconvinced with Vijay's letter halting swearing in ceremony. Vijay has 108. With CONgress' 5, total 113. Bhikhari Left has 4, but are reluctant to join if CONgress is there with Vijay after losing Keralam Election to CONgress. VCK has 2, but has said no as of now. ADMK dies on EPS’s birthday - What a spectacular coincidence! I have been saying all along that EPS, with just 47 seats, tried to crawl back to power through the backdoor with the support of the DMK. Many dismissed it as a conspiracy theory, but the truth now seems to be slowly unfolding. You can now understand why EPS locked up his MLAs in a resort. He feared that his MLAs might desert him, support Vijay, and help form a TVK–ADMK coalition government instead. Many ADMK MLAs knew very well that they had no long-term political future under the current leadership and believed Vijay could offer them a lifeline. And that appears to be exactly what is happening now. If 30 MLAs under the leadership of C. Ve. Shanmugam have indeed come forward to support TVK, it effectively signals the political death of the ADMK. Edappadi Palaniswami becoming CM after Aadhav screwed Vijay? I just spoke to an IAS officer (our family friend) who is very close to the ADMK leadership. He says EPS is trying to become CM with the support of the DMK. All small parties in the alliance will get berths in the next cabinet. Another insight shared by him is that it was Aadhav Arjuna who forced Vijay to accept Congress support and go to the Governor. CM TVK Vijay is simultaneously trying to secure a stable majority for his government while also weakening both the DMK and AIADMK politically during the process. By seeking support from parties within the DMK alliance, Vijay is not only attempting to maintain the government safely above the majority mark, but also trying to strengthen his secular image politically. At the same time, by engaging with #DMK allies and potentially accommodating some of them politically, he indirectly weakens and isolates the DMK’s alliance structure itself. On the other side, his larger political objective appears to be the complete replacement of the #AIADMK space. He has already successfully triggered a visible split within the AIADMK and secured the support of 25 MLAs from the splinter faction. The continuing chaos within the AIADMK is indirectly helping TVK expand and emerge as the principal alternative force in that political space. Now, after the floor test is over and the government appears numerically secure, TVK Vijay may no longer necessarily require the continued political dependence on those 25 AIADMK MLAs, Which also means that he may not be under immediate pressure to reward them with cabinet berths, despite the earlier speculation and expectations. But a sense of uncertainty will always remain for this government and TVK will keep facing pressure from the DMK allies who joined TVK govt.
