Honestly, it’s kinda cool. But I think you could have saved some money by just putting the washer and dryer in your master closet. How much would a new outlet and a dryer vent cost? I say this because when we bought our new build house about 6 years ago the floorplan we chose had a laundry room that was completely on its own. Not a pass though to the garage. A room. I told the builder that we wil be using the room as a pantry/storage/ overflow room because it’s the size of a large closet, not large enough for a room. But we paid for the builder to install a plug, waterline and a dryer vent in the master closet. At first he was so confused and everyone who knows we did this was also confused… UNTIL I explain to them how stupidly convenient and ridiculous simple laundry is at our house. Our master is on the first floor and 4 rooms on the second floor. So we also had them convert a larger closet that was for linens for a stackable washer and dryer unit. It simply makes so much sense. I told the builder that because men design these floodplans they never understand just how to make something practical and simple and that just works! This hit him so hard that this builder, who is a national known and does lots of subdivisions around the country, now has started to use and build this method and changed up floor plans and architecture designs. I told my husband is should have asked for a percentage of the this upgrade they are charging the new homebuyers because this was my idea.
