Wrong. Spray water from inside to the outside.

I do but there's more that sometimes need doing.

Look at the trash around it. Part of the reason. Flooding maybe. Bout 20 years ago I came up with an idea to put gravel around the ac with metal divider. My homeowners seem to like it. It behooved them to keep them clean 😉👍🏻

Gotta keep them clean!

Wash it down with a hose and clear the debris often.

That's what I do, but I think we need to possibly do more.
