If your child can't understand the concept of not twisting or throwing something like that around and purposely trying to destroy it, you probably shouldn't give them a switch anyways

People are missing that the connection point makes contact with the port *after* the rail of the joycon is in far enough to securely and flushly fit without much give

Just saying as someone who has younger brothers who are 10 years apart. (my brothers are 8 and 12) It doesn't matter how "kid-proof" you make something, kids will surely find a way to break it. I would know from personal experience of having to fix several joycons

If the little connector stuck out it could break, but the walls around it will keep it protected. It's just a connector not what's holding the joycon on
