So if he protested China’s abuses I imagine you say ‘Hey now, but what about Israel and what they’ve been doing?’. I think Macklemore made a perfectly fine statement and even made it a point to be clear his critique was of Israel’s actions…not Jewish people. At some point, calling anyone/everyone who is deeply critical of Israel’s military and leadership antisemites just makes that word meaningless. In many ways, I think this whole event has effectively challenged and damaged that bullshit.
