I mean this is how stupid this situation is: people are hoping that Xrp will act like a security. We were told the SEC lawsuit was holding it back from exponential growth, but once the lawsuit determines that it’s not a security, it will take off and then hopefully act like a security, but it never did. It’s too volatile for banks to use it, so they use stable coins instead. But Xrp is not volatile enough for anyone to make money on it by holding it. It’s designed not to grow. There’s massive amounts of it that get steadily released every month.

Kraken is exploring banking expansion in Europe and asset management partnerships. The new US and existing EU cards are the visible distribution layer. Moving into actual banking licenses and asset management would shift the product from a spend card toward a broader financial services stack.

Ripple labs is a private company. You can’t buy stock in it so if ripple labs is doing great it doesn’t mean dick to Xrp holders. The cross border payment thing never really took off. when banks want to transfer money They just use RLUSD not Xrp or they use messaging or other things that ripple labs has not related to Xrp. Xrp doesn’t do anything except get escrow released.
