it really makes you think just how gruesome the Star Wars universe could be if not constrained to being mostly family friendly

I actually would love a R rated star wars movie. Obviously it will probably never happen but one centered around Vader could be incredible. Or one about the horrible underground of the Star Wars universe. Definitely has potential

if there’s a piece of media I want made, it is a Vader centric story, wether a full length film or a show, R rated or not

While Vanessa said that was her desire, it honestly just sounds like a loud neck crush. If he had done that it would have sounded much bloodier with a lot of wet gurgle.

"Show, don't tell" isn't some special style: it's the rule, and even "telling" means dialogue; stating "facts" in real life alone shouldn't count period. A:TLoK, for counterexample; clarifying offscreen what they couldn't show takes because while vague, the indication was there.

I don’t think that’s actually what happened, just what the actress WANTED to happen. We don’t see it so you can assume whatever you want I guess, but it’s literally just the ANH neck breaking sound. Trying to make it sound more “hardcore” or whatever is silly imo

I love when projects focusing on a separate character or group will have Vader show up as the actual Boogeyman

she didn't die like that. that scream was a lungs in chest cavity scream. if her lungs were being pulled out it would have sounded waaaay less like a scream.

This is early Empire Vader. His power is juiced to the stratosphere on rage and depression. And day in and day out, he thinks of nothing but fucking somebody up. 😂

Seems like the current Star Wars entertainment team got their balls back now. Also, at first, i thought she was getting choke, but the scream.. you can't scream when getting force choked, and then i stumble upon the Rook's VA post..

All I'm gonna say is in Jedi Knight Jedi Academy the target getting force choked moved with the mouse cursor and very rarely did they die from strangulation.
