The Amish seem to know what they are doing. They don't need to worry about the cost of housing, food, gasoline, health insurance, childcare or education. They do all of these for each other. They do sometimes need modern medicine but the church has a pool of money that they use for anyone who gets an big medical bill. I'm not ready to join them but I do more home cooking and gardening now. We can be just a little bit closer to the Amish. That's what we can do.
