There is still uncertainty in the exact locations of these impacts, but hurricane plans should be activated.

As the storm makes landfall, the forecast calls for the Houston region to get up to 10 inches of rainfall. "Our worst enemy is complacency. We can't allow this storm to slip up on us," said Mayor Whitmire.

It'll all begin with heavy rain slamming the West Coast this weekend into early next week, then the pattern shifts east as a parade of storms brings widespread rain, warm temperatures, and even the potential for severe weather. Because of the warmth, most of these will be rain makers, with only our brotheren in the western mountains being the only folks to get in on the snow. And although Severe Weather is certainty possible, the details still need to be ironed out. Nothing is guaranteed - but it’s definitely on the table in this setup. Get ready to get wet. 🌧️
