If you do not understand that the current Democratic Party leadership supports this, you are being foolish. They didn’t force a vote quickly on war powers, to head off the war. They allocated just enough of their caucus to oppose it, so that it wouldn’t pass. I agree with you 100%. It is why I will not vote for my incumbent congresswoman in November. If there is a primary challenger, I will vote for them in the primary. But, I have serious doubts that they will win. We can no longer afford to just vote for the candidate who a D next to their name. We need politicians who actually put their constituents first, not Israel. That they will put their constituents before their donors. As far as I am concerned, the Congressional leadership of both parties are treasonous. They are putting the best interests of a foreign power, over that of our country. I have begun to think that the Democratic Party is unsalvageable. That it is just far too corrupt to be saved. Yes, there are a few bright lights in the party, but most are corrupt through and through. That they will not protect the status quo, instead of their constituents. The biggest problem is that they view the status quo favorable to themselves. They have no intention of actually defunding ICE and CBP in the long term. They will settle for meaningless reforms. This cannot be allowed to stand. We need a purge of Congressional incumbents. Any that support the status quo, must go.
