That felt validating for her, because so many people she dated would say “but your family,” yet once they understood what Bethenny’s mother was actually like, they agreed she should not keep a relationship. Bethenny explains that the only reason she reconnected with her mother was because her daughter Brynn kept asking to meet her. Brynn eventually got to see a bit of what Bethenny had grown up with.
