So Redline just casually had -insanely consistent 2d mechanical animation -a ridiculous amount of background animation -an unhinged amount of effects animation -unnecessarily good character acting animation (w/ extremely complex designs) throughout the movie. bruh.

And koike casually corrected like half the movie himself.. makes sense why it took 7 years and nearly ended Mad house. I can see why the movie failed but oh god this might be one of the single greatest displays of animation EVER

Casually 💀. Shit took 7 years to make with the best animators in the world at the time and an unlimited budget. It’s an absolute masterpiece of animation, but aint nothing casual about it lol

koike's story is literally heartbreaking I don't think they would've gotten their return on that production no matter how well the movie did

@atari_2k exactly it's just ridiculous man at one point I stopped going frame by frame on good cuts because there were TOO MANY
