Dear Tesla AI, I am on I-95 South near Washington DC. I just disengaged my Tesla because I thought it was confusing the shoulder for a lane. I logged the disengagement as critical. As you can see in the video below, it turns out that once again, I’ve mistakenly assumed my meat brain knows better than your AI model. I wanted to let you know that this disengagement can be removed from the statistics, as it once again turns out that I am the fool. Sorry about that. Thank you for reading.

I hope FSD 14 will have the same pothole avoidance as Robotaxi’s software. This happened while I was on a ride, it makes the ride so much more comfortable.

Here is why I disengaged FSD 14.3.3. Before this clip starts, I could see a semi coming down the on ramp and saw that it had some momentum. FSD did not slow down but the truck in the right lane would have ran into the other semi and either had to brake real hard or switch lanes. I took over to make it clear to the semi driver that I would let them over. No big deal, would be nice, if FSD could have seen that coming and facilitated that move. Tesla AI

This is TOO much of a coincidence! I just spotted a Cybercab in my college apartment parking garage in College Station,TX exactly where the critical disengagement in the quote below occured... (FSD v14.3.7 attempted to drive off the 6th floor of a parking garage). I first saw it outside my apartment, then I saw it INSIDE the apartment on the 6th floor of the garage. That is exactly where the incident occured, and it was parked a couple parking spots away from where I disengaged. 👀 I can only assume this is Tesla AI investigating this situation closely as it could be dangerous. It is also really impressive that they are on the case within 2 days of it happening, in a college town a couple hours from Houston and Austin. I am super happy to see this Tesla, thank you. Even if it is a coincidence, I like to see testing in College Station, the home of the Aggies! 👍 The Cybercab is shown in the aparment garage and outside the apartment when I first spotted it:

If you have a Tesla, you should be using Tesla FSD. Every day I see owners driving around manually for no reason. Let the car do all your driving! It will seriously change your life. Tesla FSD is now the product, and the vehicles are just the delivery system. If you haven’t tried it yet, I highly suggest going to a Tesla showroom and experiencing the "magic" for yourself. It’s so hard to describe.

FSD 12.5 runs a red light I want to share this to have a healthy discussion regarding this situation. This isn't in anyway an attempt to hate on FSD 12.5, I still believe this is the best release of FSD so far. Yesterday on my drive FSD for the first time ever (for me) decided to proceed on a VERY stale (red?) light. I was a bit surprised about its decision to do this, and I am wondering if perhaps the traffic light being set back (before the intersection starts there's a light on my left) has anything to do with this? Technically the car passes the light/stop line as it is still yellow. As a human driver I may have proceeded on this light if I was in a rush, but I am not sure if a robotaxi should make that same decision. Here’s a solid example of the lightning quick scan and response time that FSD is capable of. Going near 60 mph on this dark highway I could barely notice this pile of debris until I was right on top of it, but FSD saw it just in time and took appropriate evasive action avoiding what would have been a nasty hit at the very least. I had the harshest braking on fsd 14.2 going ~65mph on the interstate today. I just pulled the video footage & I'm sharing this for transparency. It was 30 degrees this morning & I defrosted the car before driving. It appears the camera still didn't have full visibility yet & was driving up until this point with no red wheel errors / visibility issues. Fsd braked hard when it saw the VDOT person in the shoulder but it overreacted IMO cuz it shouldn't brake that hard if the person isn't moving towards the lane. After seeing that haze on the camera, idk why fsd wasn't throwing any warnings. I did have a red wheel error this afternoon but that footage doesn't show any visibility issues. Be vigilant & always be ready to intervene / disengage. Luckily I was ready and hit the accelerator instantly to avoid a worse situation. I also disengaged afterwards & submitted a voice note.

Today I had my first demo drive in a Tesla. It was also my first time ever sitting in one. This was the first car I’ve ever sat in the driver’s seat of where I didn’t touch the steering wheel for over 20 miles. Before I even got to the car, the people who had demoed it before me were an older married couple who were absolutely euphoric. They thought it was so cool that the car could drive itself. The Tesla employee told me this happens all the time. People come back from demo drives and tell the next test driver that they’re about to have an amazing experience. Little did I know, I’d end up carrying on the torch to the next couple demoing it after me. There was a ton of construction where I demoed the car, and FSD handled the entire drive extremely well. And yes, it can go through a drive-thru and stop at each window. The only thing I had to do was tap the pedal because it wouldn’t leave on its own, but it was still wild seeing the AI stop perfectly at the second window and wait. There are a million things I could write about why a Tesla feels like a better car and how much more it offers compared to a regular car. But for now, I’ll stick to FSD. There were only two moments that made me a little uneasy. The first was pretty minor. The car slightly hesitated going up a driveway, but quickly made up its mind. The second was more noticeable. I didn’t realize the car was nagging me. Once I touched the steering wheel, nothing happened, so I pulled it right a little harder, then let go. After that, the car turned left and crossed a double yellow on a backroad. (and yes I know you can sue the volume knob) I’m not totally sure if it was trying to pull over or what it was doing. I wanted to see how it would handle the situation, but there were cars coming, so I took over and corrected it. One of the coolest moments was when I thought FSD was glitching because it came to a complete stop in the middle of a busy road. Then I looked around and realized why. On the right side, there was a bicyclist waiting at a yellow crosswalk. The cars behind me didn’t honk, and the Tesla stopping actually incentivized another car in the right lane to stop and let him pass. The car is almost too nice to pedestrians, because 99.999% of humans would’ve blown through that, especially with no flashing light. For 99.9% of the drive, the car navigated confidently and smoothly. It was a real “feel the AGI” moment. Please do not let the media, the general public, or anyone else convince you that this technology is just some kind of auto assist or glorified cruise control. This is undoubtedly getting extremely close to feeling superhuman. You still have to pay attention to the road, but after experiencing it myself, I’d be shocked if HW4 Teslas aren’t unsupervised within the next couple years. The car was extremely smooth. There was no harsh braking, and it even avoided something in the road that I didn’t see. Driving with FSD made me realize I probably wasn’t driving as well as I could be. Hopefully, eventually, everyone’s car can be as mindful as a Tesla. I’ve never seen a brand so far removed from the public’s sentiment. I’m so happy I ordered one.

Dear Tesla Team, dear Elon Musk I am reaching out to report a concerning issue that has surfaced since the recent holiday update for Europe 🇪🇺 Tesla drivers. Many in the Tesla community, have noticed that the autopilot's 'steering wheel movement' prompt has become increasingly difficult to dismiss with normal, gentle maneuvers. I did also a survey on my Instagram account and the situation confirmed of the people. In some instances, it requires such a forceful turn of the steering wheel that it feels sometimes unsafe. I have attached a video from a community member demonstrating the problem. Could you please check this matter? Thank you for your attention to this!🙏 André
