So this is a really important story that few people are telling. DHS is brazenly fabricating information to justify their brutal treatment of people in U.S. cities. Here's the story of the information they made up or embellished to justify shooting a women in Chicago.

That account was later corrected after press and court records showed the number of cars was exaggerated and basic details, including the location and how Martinez got to the hospital, were misstated. - At the detention hearing, prosecutors did not charge her with brandishing a weapon; her lawyer says the firearm stayed in her purse the entire time. - Bodycam footage described in court reportedly shows an agent taunting her, with his finger already on the trigger, before agents turn their vehicle into hers and open fire. - Local reporting also shows some agents failed to activate their cameras, which is another reason this cannot rest on DHS press releases. - A federal judge has now ordered immigration officers in similar operations to wear body cameras, citing public concern over shifting official narratives. Bottom line: DHS’s version of events changed under scrutiny, and key claims do not match the evidence. Release the full footage, with audio and timestamps, and let the public see what actually happened.
