People are too blind to rating creep. A 6 should indicate it's an above average show. I should watch a 6 and come out at the end thinking it was pretty good, enjoyable. 7 to 8 are phenomenal and 9 and 10s are damn near perfect.

Because it's a 6 out of 10 anime. Probably 5 out of 10 in all honesty, but most people are nice.

The premise is interesting, liked Siren's vibe, and OSTs are solid as you mentioned. Ended up dropping this by 3 eps tho cuz mc's dances felt lackluster and I thought they'd tie the singing/dancing with battle better. I'd give it 6.5 relative to other MAL seasonal ratings.

This anime honestly surprised me with how good it's been. The music has all been pretty great, The characters are likeable, and the fight scenes are animated well. So I figured it would be higher than that. Maybe 7.5-8 🤷🏻

I’ve noticed a lot of new MAL users downvote the shows they like to gate keep it, as a day one Kagurabachi fan, there’s no way the manga is a 7.98, it’s easily in the high 8’s or top 10

i dont think this show is bad neccesserily however i dropped it at 6 episodes it kind of gave me the impression it was trying to be symphogear which did a lot better with the concept imo and this just never really evolved past that

Youtubers have convinced people that 1 episode is all it takes to judge an anime. A lot of shows have low rating because they are dragged down by one episode reviewers.

I go by the 3 episode rule cause episode 1 of anime, especially with isekai, tend to be generic as hell but find their footing and even evolve sometimes around episode 4 or so. Your cast of characters would have to be a major pain in the ass for me to drop it on episode 1.

I tried this and was kinda into it until they pulled the mentor/inspiration character dies in the first episode. Kept going but it was just generic. If this was in a lighter season i might have kept watching but there are too many good anime this season.

everything that's actually good it's rated at like 4 to 6, the rest thats 8+ is just normieslop

(2/2) At the end of the season user's update or wrote final reviews after saw the entire anime, so its normal to see good animes with bad or regular rating at the beggining.

MAL has the reddit problem, big posters and voters are almost all of a brain dead type, and when someone goes against the grain they are drowned by screaming smooth brains
