I mean DBZ lifted Goku’s whole alien origin from Superman. Down to three Kryptonians…I mean Saiyans coming to Earth to look for him so it’s only fair. In fact, the entire first season of Superman and Lois is just the Saiyan Saga with a Future Trunks twist.

One thing. Just one. That doesn't give them a excuse to start mooching off multiple character outfits, storylines and concepts.

Really? One? Vegeta is basically General Zod, Broly is Doomsday, the Great Saiyaman ring any bells? The ENTIRE Android Saga is just a rip off of the Terminator franchise. Everyone borrows, everyone is inspired. It’s just DBZ’s turn to be borrowed from.

That ain't borrowing. And Broly as Doomsday? You do realize Doomsday actually killed Superman right? If anything Broly is the DBZ Hulk. This show mooches and rips off from every anime from DBZ, Sailor Moon, Attack on Titan and then some. "Inspired' It's called fucking laziness.

And every anime you listed is based off something else and the cycle goes on and on. This show was literally designed and marketed to be an homage to all of Anime and you don’t make an homage without representing the one credited with bringing it to the west, DBZ.

They went from parodying Invincible to parodying DBZ. Next time there’s an “anime” Superman show, let Japan handle it. I feel like they’d do it better and at least try to keep everyone looking and acting like themselves.

What's dumb is this really is one of those times where they could have just flown to another planet lol Because as they already showed in the previous season, Clark and Kara can survive in space lol It's not like Gohan and Trunks who were actually stuck there

Toriyama was a big Superman fan to the point where Goku pretty much has the same backstory. So it’s cool they got inspired by Dragon Ball here

I mean why not? Why the hate. It’s not copying it’s a fusion. The creators of the show have said several times they love DBZ and felt like they could give loving homage to both the original Superman animated series and DBZ.

I mean, to be honest, my adventures with Superman is nothing but an anime trope central anyway, he's nowhere close to Superman, and it sucks that this is what we're getting.

...I had to take a deep breath for that one. If there are some defenders of this "show" that say we're demanding "too much" from the ones in charge... The "too much" being asked of is some of the most basic stuff. If you can't do this basic stuff, you're in the wrong industry.
