This is running Dart as a shared library hosted by Java. Interface is fully FFI based. I already wrapped a good chunk of the Minecraft API surface!

I got Black Ops 2 running natively in Minecraft. Not through a browser, not on a screen inside the game. I ported Hijacked to Java and it runs directly on Minecraft’s own OpenGL context. The map, collision, bots, navmesh, weapons and rendering are all running inside Minecraft as a Fabric mod. This started with me putting my browser port on a PC screen inside Minecraft. That worked, but I wanted to see if I could go much further and actually port the game itself. So I had GPT Astra rebuild the whole thing in Java. Still a lot left to do, but this is now an actual game running inside Minecraft rather than Minecraft displaying one.

Godot's Third Person Shooter demo, ported to Flutter Scene as a fun stress test. Running in Flutter 3.47 on Flutter GPU and Impeller, the built-in graphics stack. 617 MiB of cooked content. 1,795,763 unique vertices, 659,079 unique triangles, 320 collision meshes, 23 punctual lights. Converted to Scene's own scene description format for AOT baking. The lighting doesn't look as moody as the original and needs a bunch of adjusting. Way too much light spilling in from the environment map... But a pretty decent port so far!

A YouTuber (AMP GameDev) has gotten Half-Life: Alyx running standalone on Meta Quest 3!… albeit very poorly, but still a huge step forward. This does not show what HLA’s only capabilities are with standalone play, as ports are designed entirely with caveats at play to get the game working as best as possible, and this footage is of the version built and intended primarily for PC wired play with lots done to get it running at all so it’s bound to look like this in this instance, but Valve making a Steam Frame standalone port of Alyx that looks good is still very possible, as crazy as it sounds!
