So, when I took this aurora, at first I thought that my settings were not correct because the aurora appeared white. I thought maybe the ISO was off, or I picked the wrong lens. Turns out, what I thought was white is actually light pink, and this led me... down a path of learning. Aurora colors are the result of solar particles (think: microscopic sun bullets) interacting with Earth’s magnetospheric electrons (think: a bunch of charged particles which act like a force field around Earth that protect us from direct hits from the sun bullets). When there is a strong solar storm, which is basically a grouping of solar particles headed in our direction, the magnetospheric electrons get bombarded. While they still do their job of protecting us, they get super energized and are accelerated toward our poles. These now high-velocity electrons then hit different gases in the Earth’s atmosphere, mainly oxygen and nitrogen. When this happens, the gas molecules get excited, jump to a different energy level, and emit light at different wavelengths when they return to their original state. The color of that wavelength depends on the collision impact, type of gas molecule, atmospheric density, and altitude. Green is the most common aurora color, and it occurs when the electrons hit oxygen molecules between 60-150 miles altitude. If the solar particles hit oxygen but at a higher altitude, above 150 miles, the resultant color is red. This only happens under intense solar storm activity because of the lower density of atomic oxygen at higher altitudes. At lower altitudes during these intense storms, below 60 miles, auroras can appear purple or blue due to electrons hitting nitrogen molecules or pink when they hit slightly higher nitrogen around 60 miles. Auroras can appear other colors due to mixing of these phenomena. Now when I watch this video, I am amazed by the color variations. This one was very pink-hued!show more

It is done! Grok has literally built something that no one else has but anyone studying space weather would want! I will be releasing it today to the world on my website for free , and as open source for anyone to tweak, add or change things as they see fit! First we managed to resurrect the old Japanese NICT magnetosphere monitoring page, getting all the original data... then, added in the SOLAR-1 Data, and the data from the BOM Australia on the Magnetopause (shell around earth that bounces around). The magnetic field lines of the magnetoSPHERE coming from the ACE and Solar-1 data, and the bouncing shell of the magnetopause from the BOM, then we added in the Schumann resonance, to give each magnetic field line from the ACE and Solar-1 data an oscillating glow that lights up according to the current Hz of the Schumann. There is an option to turn on charged particles, which will then reflect off of , or be pulled in towards (or stay neutral) to the magnetic field of both the ACE + Solar-1 field LINES and the outer shell magnetopause from the BOM!!!! This is huge! When Bz goes green one way the particles turn RED and are reflected off of Earths magnetic field like a force field.. and when Bz goes Red, the particles turn GREEN and are accepted in to Earths fields! When neutral positive you see light blue and when neutral negative the particles are grey. Simply put, you can now look at this and know just by the particle color and their direction whether Earth was accepting or denying particle absorption!!!! Nowhere in the world has anyone put anything like this together into one model. Now we have it! All of these are toggleable on and off, so each one can be viewed on or off at any time. Also added multiple types of lighting and graphics controls , so that the user can control the amount of lighting, glow, thickness of the field lines when displayed, and the amount of the flashes per second using the Schumann hz filter, as well as the amount of brightness of each flash. Can go anywhere from 7hz up to 40+hz just like the actual Schumann resolance. You can also turn on "manual control" so that you can simulate "what would happen if" solar wind went up high or if the hz rate of the Schumann were to spike what it would look like magnetically on the spherical display of the magnetic field. Finally a record option was built in to allow for recording of movies in the program, which I have uploaded here now. Not the highest quality yet, but I figure people will use screen capture programs instead of this if they're making movies (this is fine for public use as is now imo). Also added in color controls for the background (default set to black) and for the magnetic field lines which default to Red and Blue just like the old NICT Japanese site which got shut down years ago.

Using Grok build, now we were able to cross the magnetosphere data (from ACE and Solar-1 satellites) which shown the magnetic field lines of the Earth .... with the BOM (bureau of meteorology Australia) magnetopause feed ------ the BOM shows the standoff distance of the edge of the magnetosphere ----- the area called the "magnetopause". Now we get to see the buffeting blasts of solar wind and charged particles when they hit Earth (coming from the sun). This then perturbs the electromagnetic field lines of Earth shown by ACE and Solar-1 -- and that vibration is carried on down to the CORE OF THE EARTH! Also added in the ability to turn off Earth (transparent) so we can see inside Earth down to the calculations most people never even get to see -- and see it get vibrated , plucked like strings on a guitar! The BOM data, as well as the ACE, and Solar-1 data are all real time, and can be set to update every 1minute to every hour! The projected trail of the magnetic field around Earth is just an approximation, but it set to also vibrate along with the BOM data showing the magnetopause compression / expansion when strong solar winds, or large particle storms hit. Simply put, summed up, using Grok we were able to rebuild the old school Japanese NICT site, make it fully 3D interactive, and add in the BOM to make a new form of data observation where both the magnetopause, and magnetosphere data are combined into one, displayed on the same screen at the same time!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Both feeds can be toggled on / off so as to view one or the other as well if the user wishes! I will release this to the public for free along with the Solar and Earthquake programs very soon!

In 2003 I stopped on the side of the highway. I got out of my car. I looked up. I can’t really describe the feeling, but dumbstruck awe is as close as possible. I was on my way home very late from a school event and suddenly I was surrounded by green, red, and purple fire. The night sky was enveloped in them. Honestly I thought I was having a medical emergency. It was the Northern Lights, but unlike anything I’ve ever seen. I stood for 20 minutes looking up as twisting and chaotic lights spun around me, in the middle of nowhere, without any light pollution. I also HEARD them. It was a crackling and twinkling sound, like wind chimes made of breaking tinfoil. Nobody else I knew saw them that night. I also wasn't believed that they made sound - which has been proven to be true. That was the last MASSIVE geomagnetic storm the Earth experience and it was like what we saw last night. We got warning thanks to social media that one was coming and the weather cooperated. Little cloud, and a warm wind. We sat beneath the sky initially in blankets but then 1:00 AM rolled around. Gorgeous dancing beams of light blasted overhead, with the same greens, reds, pinks, and purples I saw so many years ago. It got so bright, it was as if Mother Nature had turned on a nightlight across the night sky, to ward off bad dreams and spooky shadows. I had tears in my eyes. I felt so small, yet I was experiencing something so large. I had VERY big feelings - just like Beaker gets (our golden) when she has so much joy. This time I got to experience it with my family AND see the joy and excitement across social media as so many people who had never witnessed them before, got a glimpse. We were all so very fortunate last night. BUT: What causes this? This cosmic spectacle is caused by a massive sunspot, a behemoth as wide as 17 Earths, hurling solar flares towards our planet. Imagine the sun as a giant celestial disco ball, occasionally sending out bursts of energy in the form of solar flares. When these flares reach Earth, they interact with our magnetic field, creating geomagnetic storms. Normally our magnetic field yeets these storms to the poles, eliminating all but the most extreme latitudes from viewing them. In Canada we consider it pay back for our long and brutal winters. This energy excites the gasses high in our atmosphere and depending on the gas, different colors are produced. Oxygen produces greens and reds. Nitrogen produces blue and purple. The recent storm escalated to Level 5 "extreme" conditions, creating a celestial dance of colors in the night sky. Even SpaceX's Starlink service experienced "degraded service," a reminder that while we marvel at the beauty of the Northern Lights, they also remind us of our reliance on technology vulnerable to these cosmic events. Our internet is powered by Starlink and we have NO SERVICE during the peak - and it has been knocked out at times yesterday and today. However, this isn't just a spectacle; it's a reminder of the power and unpredictability of our sun. This Level 5 geomagnetic storm is the first of its kind since 2003, where a much younger me stood dumbfounded at the side of a rural highway, looking up. I have been bringing awareness for many years to people about what's taking place in our atmosphere. The sun is white because it's shining through a haze of particles. Wash your car set it out in the sun and look at your windshield from the side you will see the particles falling down. This is tyranny and most of the American people are not willing to stand up to the government. We still have a lot of people that's in denial that the government would do such a thing, when there's government documents to prove what they're doing. I just don't know what else to say or do or prove. I know these tweets are still censored they always have been.

You will remember that a month or two ago, I posted about the solar system at my home in Johannesburg, which has allowed me to hardly use Eskom or City Power because it generates enough energy for my entire usage, including powering geysers. After that post, one of you on this page, a solar expert, reached out privately and advised me to remove the electric geysers from the main solar system. If it is very cloudy and the water is not as hot as I want it to be, I can simply go onto the app and instruct that particular geyser to use the grid. Unlike my previous setup, where I had to switch the whole home solar system onto the grid, now each individual geyser can independently switch to the grid and heat the water to a temperature that I have set. Once the water reaches that set temperature, it automatically disconnects. In the same way, I can switch it off from using the solar panels. For instance, if there are four geysers and one of them is in a bedroom that is not being used, I can switch off that geyser completely so that it is not heating water unnecessarily. When I was a 10 year old kid I knew this scene was silly - US Space Shuttles (operated by the US Marines out of Vandenberg??) deploying a platoon of astronauts to fight with lasers in space. And of course the more I learned about spaceflight the more ridiculous it gets, I mean these days I think about the procedures which would be involved in this kind of launch and payload deployment. Consider the technical problems of launch a unit in space suits, this is a quick turnaround they have to be ready to go within an hour of launch that means the team in the back are briefing their plans while loaded in the back of the shuttle during the countdown, no time to waste. Preparation is everything. And they have to be preparing for the EVA, normally on the ISS that means breathing pure oxygen for hours to remove nitrogen from the blood, but that would be dangerous in a full EVA suit at 1 atmosphere of pressure, you don't want the whole unit combusting. So that crew likely has to use regular oxygen with a substitute gas until the shuttle is in flight and able to drop pressure down to suit pressure. And the most logical substitute gas is helium, so those last minute briefings are going to sound like a bunch of chipmunks until a couple of minutes into flight. Obviously this kind of detail cut from the movie... obviously.

Here is a 3D visualization of the coming solar storm using model parameters from NASA's run, NOAA's run (shown below), and the coronagraph views from STEREO-A/COR2 and SOHO/LASCO. The storm is expected to hit Earth early December 9. The 3D visualization clearly shows the low inclination orientation of the solar slinky core inside the larger storm envelope. Of course, the earlier eruption that erupted to the northeast, might deflect this structure a little bit, but likely that will only make the structure move more towards the ecliptic plane, which will give us a larger chance of crossing through the solar slinky core. One nice thing about low inclination flux rope cores is that they almost ALWAYS have southward field in them at some point. So this is good news for aurora photographers-- as long as this solar storm stays true to its launch trajectory and inclination, we could see some organized southward pointed magnetic field. Considering this solar storm is fast-- that usually indicates the storm will not deviate much from its original launch trajectory! Stars and the Firmament💫 The water above the firmament consists of liquid oxygen, while the firmament itself is made of frozen, pure oxygen. Oxygen freezes at -218.79 degrees Celsius. As is well known, pure oxygen is blue when frozen. The higher you go, the colder and denser it becomes. This is also how the familiar wave effect is created when rockets launch into the sky. p/s These videos have gained me followers. They were filmed with a Nikon P1000 – the most powerful zoom camera on the market with 125x optical zoom!😉 And they write: Stars are not what we are led to believe. There is no space above the firmament of our planned and immobile Earth! I once told someone a long time ago that stars in videos look like light shining on the bottom of a public swimming pool. You got a number of different -- you got D.C. Police, got a number of different law enforcement people here. And look, you know, at the end of the day, the shooter is in custody. And we'll learn details. But these are -- these are brave people because they are guarding people that are constantly under threat. They're going to these major events, thousands of people are around. You know, it's a little wild out there. And -- and so, I just think I just wanted to say, thank God for these law enforcement personnel because what they do to put their lives on the line to protect the continuity of our government and events like this, we should be proud that they serve our country and our -- and our government the way they do."
