We now have a fully open-source coding agent that can compete with any proprietary solution out there: • 500+ available models • It doesn't train on your code • It doesn't charge a penny for tokens • It's open. You can change if you want. Kilo Code is the #1 app on OpenRouter right now, and the community is releasing new features on GitHub at rocket speed (about 20 releases in the last 30 days). I installed it in Visual Studio Code, but you can install it in pretty much any IDE. I need to spend more time with it, but here is a very interesting design choice: Most coding agents support two modes: an "agentic" mode for writing code and an "ask" mode for talking to the model without making any changes. Kilo Code supports 5 different modes: 1. Architect mode - Research, design, and planning 2. Debug mode - Problem solving and troubleshooting 3. Code mode - To write code. 4. Ask mode - To talk to the model. 5. Orchestrator mode - Combine every agent to solve problems. On paper, I really like this. Btw when you die in the elevator you just fade to black lol, also I couldn't do this in Vr because it was killing me even though I was doing everything right (I had to witch to flat mode to beat it and it worked there...?)

Clicky is an amazing tool so I forked it and added "proactive tutor mode": It watches your screen and teaches you *without you asking anything*. Every time you stop using your keyboard or your cursor, it gives you instructions/feedback. Watch it teach me Figma in real time. Two additional changes in my fork: - auto copy the llm response to clipboard, when it helps you with writing (it helped me write this tweet) - it only takes a screenshot of the window you are focused on, reducing llm confusion

When I first saw this game in the arcade, I thought it was similar to OutRun. But instead of running on a fixed circuit, you follow a straight course, which makes racing really fun. It was only released on the Nintendo 64 in North America, so only NA gamers knew about it. It never came out in Asia, and the region code was different, so there was no way to play it back then. Nowadays, you can run it using EverDrive or code-free mods.

Once you become conscience life stops being fun, and it becomes a curse. Movies, parties, dating… Consciousness does not set you free. It isolates you. It disconnects you from the clown world everyone else still is pretending is normal. Once you see the code behind the simulation, you can’t unsee it ever again. All that’s left is the silence, and the cold comfort of knowing it’s the only thing that isn’t lying to you. Happy New Year.
