If you worked all your life you deserve to know that Social Security is going to be there and it's going to be enough to live. Wealthy people don't have to pay the same share of their total income as the rest of us for Social Security. That has to stop. We need to make sure Susan Collins and Donald Trump’s wealthy donors pay their fair share into Social Security all the time. Scrap the cap. Raise the benefits.

Today is the 91st anniversary of Social Security -- an important safety net program that you pay into your whole life. Social Security allows folks to able to age with dignity in retirement. Derrick Van Orden and far right Republicans want to do away with this program and take your earned benefits. Right now, the wealthiest people in our country don't have to pay into SS -- I believe in scraping the cap so everyone is paying their fair share.
