Socialism’s final form is always the same: no more elections. This weekend Daniel Ortega looked at his own country and said no more elections. Ever. In 1979 the Sandinistas overthrew a family dictatorship that had ruled Nicaragua for over 40 years with US backing, and the new Marxist government...

And Nicaragua has a constitution that had term limits for President and electoral processes. But when the socialists get control of the courts, assembly (congress), police, and army, they do whatever they want without consequences. May the US never reach that point.

"locked up opposition candidates before the 2021 vote." That's what communists do. Now think about what Democrats tried to do to President Trump before he got re-elected.

Allowing the average person to affect politics is why America is so fucked they are right about this even if they are left wing freaks

Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei. By late 1933–1934, opposition parties were banned, and Germany became a one-party dictatorship. No further competitive national elections occurred. The Reichstag existed in name but lost all democratic function.

Socialism requires authoritarianism to function.

Hopefully, a new Contra army of freedom fighters can form and the US can fund it. Why not? We’re funding the Ukraine war and this is in our backyard.

They always use democracy as a ladder to come to power, only to kick it away as soon as they reach the top.

Socialism always ends the same way. No election, no freedom, no ownership, no God, no free speech, no food, no healthcare. A small elite controls everything, misery, terror and repression multiply.

The difference between Democrat, Democratic Socialist, and Communist is a difference in degree. The ideology of all three is the same. Difference only in degree.

Even most of his Sandinista comrades in the past, including even his own brother, have denounced him and his wife as a dictator. Nicaragua could generate enough energy to power the entire country by hooking a turbine up to Sandino's grave

Every single time it ends in a dictatorship: Lenin, Stalin, Khrushchev, Hitler, The Kims, Pol Pot, Ceausescu, Castro & Maduro.

I wish Carter had given Somoza the opportunity to reform. Somoza understood we had the stick and we should have used it as leverage rather than just abandoning an ally to what everyone knew was going to happen. BUT I equally blame Aleman and El Pacto!

"Socialism’s final form is always the same: no more elections" is probably the only good thing about socialism.

Wee bit, actually, a shit ton more... The Bush, Clinton, CIA cocaine operation used this story as a cover. They serve a globalist banking parasitic thieving class. They expand through exploitation of Twofold Social Organization. Neither pole if which, create a thriving humanity.

@TheMrsTimm But these DSA’s hate America. They’d be absolutely fine with getting rid of elections.

I had predicted this from Justin B Castreau in Canada, but alas he was more politically vapid than I had anticipated and was ousted by the Party due to his incompetence. His replacement the Carny was anointed thereafter but is proving so incompetently corrupt that he may not last enough election cycles to cancel elections in Canada. Canadians still have a slim chance to get their country back. We shall see if they take it.

Easy just unalive them, and inform the interim government that if fair elections with international observers aren’t held regularly Ortega’s replacement will be unalived as well.
