I know a green bank in Nigeria, they wanted to hire a IT chick who has backend experience from main one, after the typical Nigeria interview they were offering her 500k, madam turned down the offer, the ED was mad. A blue bank now, wants tech team to be dressing in suit to office

Boss, we both know that software engineers in the bank don’t do much. Most software developments and maintenance are outsourced. They only monitor these things.

Then why are the banks suffering after the engineers leave?

I said it before. These banks shouldn’t just be paying better, they should be paying for trainings or running training institutions to ensure they have an endless supply of talent and then pay them well to keep them.

Lol. Allow... It's the same Nigerian elder syndrome. They'd be happier to lose millions of $ per month in failed transactions and hacks, than give a few thousand $ to those "oversabi" upstarts. Any onboarding design wey no start with suffer, count them out.
