These are awesome on boats.

I use them for simplicity but solder joint is never brilliant

I have these and have tried several brands of them. They suck. It is nearly impossible to get adequate solder joints without burning through the the plastic. Most of the time it leaves a cold solder joint which would greatly reduce the current carrying capacity of the wire.

Id rather pinch them together and put an electrical tape over it Simple and effective
