LaPointe said recent controversies, including the paid parking debate, have reinforced a growing public concern that consultation too often comes late in the process, after key decisions have effectively been shaped. He said decisions affecting daily life, neighbourhood character, and local business must be grounded in meaningful public engagement and clear public justification. He also said West Vancouver needs stronger accountability at Metro Vancouver, where major decisions on spending, infrastructure, and regional priorities have significant local consequences. Kamlager-Dove: Well, I do think that Speaker—or “Squeaker”—Johnson caved and did what Democrats have been telling him to do for months now, because the American people are sick of waiting in long, long lines at the airport. They are sick of having to apologize to federal workers who are working without a paycheck. And they are sick of Republicans clogging up the government and stopping it from working.

I had a ball on a recent hike with kids from Compton, Inglewood, and South Central Los Angeles, many of whom had never been in the Santa Monica wilderness before, even though it’s not far from their neighborhoods. It’s important for our youth to experience nature and to feel the sense of accomplishment that one gets from overcoming challenges like climbing a mountain. #Kennedy24

Premier David Eby and the VPD spent huge resources clearing the homeless drug addicts from the streets and stopping open air drug use. This is the same government that swore we needed open air drug use, human feces on the sidewalk, injection sites and needed to fight stigma around homelessness, to save lives. But I guess those "life saving measures" are not needed during FIFA. If history is any guide, things in Vancouver will return to the wretched old normal in a few weeks & slide even further into dystopia, heading into winter.
