Can you imagine the endless radio phone-in shows about further regulation, and the tabloid press all calling for same, if this level of destruction were caused by a cyclist or e-scooter rider instead of a motorist?

Geofenced 'limp mode' for all non-emergency motorised vehicles in urban areas.

It’s my belief the driving standards on our roads have dropped so massively over the last few years is directly linked to cutbacks in roads policing by the government and the erosion the deterrent affect of getting caught.

looks like a 20 mph limit might have helped prevent this...

@mzdt Only when cars are fitted with electronic speed limiters, to reduce speeds to never more than 20mph anywhere near residential areas. After so many decades we surely have learnt by now that we cannot trust vehicular drivers to behave by themselves.

Oh my Gosh. That is unbelievable… Poor woman and child, must be so traumatic, thank God they’re Ok. (Unless it’s a mechanical reason beyond the drivers control unlikely looking at the video) The driver needs serious consequences..
