SOLVED: For those that are curious, this is how I fixed the issue I was having with FBT and VRC chairs. I can't say this is the right way, but it works. Thanks for helping me figure this out, all! 👻✅🔄 #VRChat

A much easier workaround used to be: turn on "AFK detection" in the VRC radial menu, sit on a chair, open your Steam dashboard (or whatever you have, to go into AFK), and then immediately close it - boom, you have full FBT while in a chair.

Yeah I went and made this change after seeing that post yesterday, have yet to test it, but Im glad you brought this issue to light and that such a simple fix was all it needed!

all you need to do is turn on afk detection in came

you can also, from within the game (no editing FBX) just go to your circle menu and enable AFK detection. when you sit in a chair, bring up your steam HUD or anything else to trigger AFK, and it'll disable the sit animation and you can do what you want. I use it for gokarts

No problem! Someone in the comments also mentioned the "correct" way to do it, but if you only play in FBT, this works fine.
