Somalis' favorite dance is one where they stand in two lines and whip their heads back and forth as hard as they can. Before 1991 very few Somalis lived in Western countries. Today Minnesota alone has about 100,000 and 47% of them are under 18 years old, so the community is about to grow rapidly. The US in total has somewhere around 220,000 to 260,000, and England and Wales had 176,645 in 2021. Sweden, Norway, and Canada took tens of THOUSANDS more. Besides the great dancing, some other exciting things Somalis add to Western cultures is their famous rice and banana dish.
