This woman who is a military officer from the 1st Brigade of #SNA has announced that she has "joined the opposition forces" in Mogadishu as fierce clashes erupted between pro–Villa Somalia forces and those backing the opposition. The officer said: "After the peaceful protesters were disrupted by force, I decided to take up arms." Heavily armed forces continue to deploy across many parts of the Somali capital tonight amid rising tensions and ongoing confrontations. The security situation remains volatile as Mogadishu faces growing uncertainty and the risk of further conflict.
