Let’s not overestimate this. Nobody respects Somalia they’re a beggar state

While I agree with your assertion that Somaliland is a reality on the ground, that does not mean we should sit idly and wait for luck to be on our side. We need our government to do everything possible to push this momentum and at least hire lobbying firms to promote our case.

If Ciro and his government think wisely, they have the most powerful conservative lobbying firm—The Heritage Foundation—on our side. They should do the lobbing.

Somalia is a black hole of Aid money gone wrong. It is most unfortunate HSM sold national assets to Erdogan and capitulated to Ethiopia. Somaliland will be recognised, we are the only buffer against Al shabab and Houthi.

Such efforts by the leaders and individual Somalis reflect something much deeper than simply opposing recognition. Indeed, they are ready and capable of committing something far worse than the genocide committed by former President Siad Barre.
