The port is going under. It can’t cover up its running cost. South of Somalia is close for them and Ethiopia is using 97% Djibouti. Looks like total waste of investment.

When politicians choose foreign interests over the welfare of the local people, the result is what is happening in Berbera. The people of Somaliland need leadership that stands up for their rights and cannot be bought.

The Republic of Somaliland is a demlcratic country. Therefore, workers have the right to organise, freedom of assembly and freedom of speech. Workers have the right to form their union. They have the right to protest and strike. Can they do this in Djibputi or Somalia?

They must obey their master.

In Somaliland, civil protests and strikes occur as they do in other democratic countries, and all disputes are settled in accordance with the country's labour laws. There is no doubt that this is a clear demonstration of democratic rule in Somaliland.✅
