Announcing our new mascot, Sir Otterly 🦦 Intern got a lot of flak for posting Pepes all the time, so they gave me an Otter... Why tf did we choose an Otter? Otters are actually the most ferocious creatures on planet earth. They are basically little Jason Bournes. Legend has it that an otter was once bitten by a spitting cobra. After several hours of excruciating pain, the cobra died. True story actually, one bit our intern while he was doing a cold dip in Cape Town. If intern wasn't such a ridiculously strong human, he would have perished from the wounds. Otters can also do some other weird stuff, like close their nostrils while swimming. We like to think we're doing something similarly impressive with liquidity. They are also innovative. They kept losing shit while swimming, so over time, they evolved to grow a little patch of loose skin under their arm—basically a pocket. They use it to store tools to smash massive crabs. Alright, now it’s time for us to get back to the story. I wanna share my personal experience trading memecoins (and some utility plays) on Solana over the past 1 year and 4 months. Before that, I was pretty active on Ethereum since around 2020. So what made me switch to Solana ? It started when someone from my private group pointed out the potential of Solana, the speed, the low fees, and how early the ecosystem still felt at the time. Funny thing is, I actually heard about Solana when it was already at $80, but I didn’t really touch it until it hit around $100, and I started with 20 SOL as capital. It was sometime around February 2024 (don’t remember the exact date), when I first tried trading memecoins on Solana. Back then, wasn’t even popping yet, most devs were still launching manually. No fancy bots, no real token scanners, just pure risk. ( Correct me if I’m wrong about when first launched. ) Honestly, in the beginning, it was tough. New tokens popping up every second, rugs left and right, Solana was in hype mode, and everyone wanted to launch something. But by April, things started to click. I was finally making profits trading Solana coins, memecoins, lowcap utilities, all that. If I compare it to now, I’d say it was way easier back then to catch early entries. Not even exaggerating, 100x plays were way more common. I will put sneak peek of some of my PnL from my personal channel, Of course, it’s not as simple anymore with today’s market; Bundles everywhere, token farming systems, launch metas changing fast… Back then? It was cleaner. Simpler. Honestly, better. Through all this, I’ve always had one dream: To help people who are truly serious about learning the game. REPLAY FILES BROKEN (FIXED + STEP BY STEP GUIDE) Hey! Currently there's a bug with replay files that prevents replays from before the latest Rocket League patch to load/work. As a creator, this severely impacts my workflow, and waiting for a patch could take a while. So to make sure I, and everyone else out there can continue to work, I've tried to find a solution. Initially I messed around with installing older Rocket League versions through the steam console, and trying to get the Injector from Bakkesmod to downgrade to the matching Rocket League version, however this proved to be tedious and honestly fruitless. So instead I turned to the modding community where I was quickly directed towards Martin, who ended up fixing the replay issue and building a handy tool. WHAT YOU'LL NEED: RocketRP: Microsoft. NET 9.0 Runtime: HOW TO: Step 1: Download (if your antivirus flags it, allow list it. Running unknown files is ALWAYS at your own risk, however I run the setup as well and the sourcecode is available to check for when you're in doubt). Step 2: Download the .NET 9.0 console framework for windows, or your respective platform. Step 3: Install the .NET 9.0 console framework through the downloaded .exe Step 4: Unzip/Extract the "RocketRP .cli .zip" file Step 5: Right click the extracted folder and select "Open in Terminal". If that option doesn't appear you need to click more options, and / or open with, and manually select Powershell or your preferred terminal of choice. Step 6: leave the terminal window open and go to: %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Rocket League\TAGame\Demos Step 7: Select the replays you want and place these in a new folder somewhere easily accessible. Make sure to back them up just in case* Step 8: Right click the replay you want to fix, and then select "copy as path" Step 9: In notepad or similar, copy this command: .\RocketRP.CLI.exe -r " " -m Repack --backup --legacy-fix true Make sure to replace the " " with the link you copied from the replay in step 8. For a breakdown of the command, check the video or use the help command in the terminal. Step 10: In the terminal, paste the command we created in step 9, then press enter. This should create a backup file of your replay, and it should create a new replay file that has the patch applied. NOTE: Right now, doing full folders isn't working, therefore you'll have to do this 1 replay at a time, untill I post a fix in the comments. Step 11: Put the newly generated replay in the demos folder (step 6) and load back into Rocket League. Your replay should now work as intended! Please note if you get any errors, you mostlikely didn't install the .NET 9.0 console correctly, or you have to check your command for typos. Step 6: leave the terminal window open and go to: %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Rocket League\TAGame\Demos Step 7: Select the replays you want and place these in a new folder somewhere easily accessible. Make sure to back them up just in case* Step 8: Right click the replay you want to fix, and then select "copy as path" Step 9: In notepad or similar, copy this command: .\RocketRP.CLI.exe -r " " -m Repack --backup --legacy-fix true Make sure to replace the " " with the link you copied from the replay in step 8. For a breakdown of the command, check the video or use the help command in the terminal. Step 10: In the terminal, paste the command we created in step 9, then press enter. This should create a backup file of your replay, and it should create a new replay file that has the patch applied. NOTE: Right now, doing full folders isn't working, therefore you'll have to do this 1 replay at a time, untill I post a fix in the comments. Step 11: Put the newly generated replay in the demos folder (step 6) and load back into Rocket League. Your replay should now work as intended! Please note if you get any errors, you mostlikely didn't install the .NET 9.0 console correctly, or you have to check your command for typos. ✨ has now gone from $0 to $1 million ARR in just 17 days! 💸 Revenue update: $87,000 MRR (which is $1M ARR) My first project ever to go up this fast 🤯 Only 3 ads left now: 📊 Stats update: 320,000 people have now flown in the game Whether the MRR is truly sustainable for a year we can only guess, but they ARE subscriptions and they do renew so as long as the game keeps improving it might happen? 🛸 Since I kept getting hacked by UFO invaders, I decide to sell the UFOs, and coincidentally new sponsor Basecamp wanted an UFO as the origin of 37 Signals (their original company name) comes from the 37 radio signals detected from space to detect extraterrestrial life, so I built them a custom UFO with their original snow globe logo on top which you can see flying around below And I have one new sponsor that sells Ozempic so got the text on the blimp "are you as big as a blimp? lose weight at 😂 I was ski'ing today so was AFK mostly but I did: ✅ Fix more XSS issues, which to be fair unless you explicitly ask it to find every single XSS loophole, AI doesn't really care about when it writes code, so you really gotta ask it to extra check your code cause honestly it can be full of security holes One unlucky (or lucky) thing is that this project took off completely unpredicted and it happened just when I was on travel with gf to France and Switzerland. I didn't wanna lock myself up in a room all day computering so I actually spend most of the days just doing fun stuff with her (as I should) and then in the evening when I got an hour (like now), scrambling and quickly getting things done That would never be possible if I coded it without AI though, it would simply take too much time. Without AI it would have taken me 10-100x more time and I would have simply not been able to build this and maintain it at the same speed AI really is a creativity and speed maximizer for me, making me just way more creative and more fast I still mostly use Cursor + Anthropic Claude 3.5 and trying 3.7 too now! I'm excited to get more time in the next few days so I can really add some new things, one thing I want is to put a big 3d leaderboard INSIDE the game with the scores on it for example
