Keep in mind too, this is a college kid winning the US Championship over a bunch of pros despite coming off of a long NCAA year of competition! Truly one of the most remarkable things I’ve ever seen in this event.

An additional person falls in the back end of the video, I wondered if they got stutter stepped too.

In my senior year of HS, in a 5k XC race at VC park in the Bronx,I fell in the first half mile and had 95% of the field pass me. I recovered but didn’t win, though I finished top 5 out of about 150 runners

Need a panel of steeplechase experts to decide this.
