Some cool shots from Phan Rang AB (I think) that I'm working on from 1965. I finally found some descent Air Force Vietnam era footage in the archives. If anyone can verify that this is Phan Rang let me know and I'll comment on it in the National Archives. 🫡

Do you remember the old show Discovery Channel Wings? I used to watch it all the time. Had the best footage of planes and gave tons of information on them. I still watch old episodes on YouTube.

Thanks for posting this. I have only seen a few videos of F-100 operating during the Viet Nam era. I had a few friends who did that. Do you or anyone who reads this post, know which stateside units deployed to Phan Rang AB?

Alrighty, I think this is the last of the Phan Rang AB cuts from 1965. This one is all B-57 action. I started working on these cuts first but got distracted with the fighters. Freaking amazing in flight footage toward the latter half. Enjoy. 🫡

Some cool footage of B-57B Canberra's with the 35th TFW at Phan Rang strafing and bombing VC base camps in July of 1967. The Air Force lost 58 B-57's in Vietnam (of those, 26 were lost by ground fire, 10 to unplanned bomb explosions)—by 1969 only 9 were still operational. 🫡

Cool shot of a Woblin' Goblin taking on some fuel.😎 I get the majority of my videos from public use DoD video archives. This was found in the wild. It is interesting to note that the F-117A and SR-71 are the only two aircraft that the DoD doesn't publish "many" videos of.🤔
