Loved your role on Backrooms. Hoping there’s a sequel and you get an expanded role

If Backrooms get's a sequel I hope you're one of the main characters. I really would enjoy an Async centered narrative.

Took my two older teens to Backrooms and we had a great time. You all did great. 👍

As a young wannabe/amateur filmmaker it is amazing to see both of these movies succeed with such a young maker. And seeing you on the big screen was amazing aswell. Both of these movies deserve their flowers. Especially backrooms

i think u did too good with creep cus now whenever i see u there's always a nugget in my brain telling me not to trust anything u say. like that's emmy award winner mark duplass not a serial killer in the woods..... or is it

Congrats on the Backrooms. Saw it last night. My boys and I loved it. Do you think there is a space for theatre chains to invest in/produce films for more exclusivity and then sending said films to physical media before they do streaming?

You're a good egg, Mark.

Great movie. Was glad to see you in it. Your work is fire.

I love you creep!

Hey Mark. Saw Backrooms today in a PACKED theater. Loved every second of it. Hope all is well.

Remembered binging The League around fantasy football season every year. Seeing you popped up in Backrooms was awesome.

Viva independent filmmaking. Also, when I heard "Blender":

I predicted this about five years ago!

The success of backrooms and obsession will be game changing for the film industry, it’s so exciting!!!!!

this is so huge for art

i loved ur 2 minutes of screen time mark🤍

When I saw creep back in the day I knew you were gonna be huge.

I loved the movie mark, I also thought I couldve used more scenes with your character oh well, its very interesting

Mark is so 👍

It does feel like a special time

Bro this is great advice! To ANY filmmaker or talent. Believe in yourself, swing your weapon of choice, market yourself in the most optimal way. Stuff can happen.

@BeyondFest Yeahhhhh we still know that backrooms kid don’t direct that shit dude

Bro recorded this on the face of the sun

@grok SPIRO ARTIFACT :

Bro escaped the office space and got a job in the inter-dimensional office space lmao

It’s cool cuz this *is* the horror genre. This is nothing new. It’s amazing that it’s withstood the tests of time…. But this is the story of night of the living dead and evil dead - make cool shit with your friends! You got a camera!

I know you are riding the high of taking the Mouse down a peg. Bless you guys.

I was surprised to see you in backrooms. I was like "The dude from CREEP?" Heres hoping to see you in a sequel

@WilsonCleveland Yas very good news #backrooms and #obsession are humiliating #grogu at the box office...luvs it

@DrewMcWeeny I’m happy and proud of all you guys! Congrats on the big success! I haven’t seen either one yet, but from what I hear both are excellent!

@robertliefeld Loved the Backrooms, you were great Phil.

:) - this is a rehash of what was done w/ some indies in the 1990s and 2000s - big companies releasing some indies, posting about some big returns. OK I guess. the better way to go is for indie filmmakers to do full on real indie prod + distro.

I’m striving to become a producer myself. the things iron lung, backrooms, and a lot of these movies that are achieving, it’s like a tunnel through a mountain in being carved for genuine passion

Mark, followed your career since The League, know you understand the business better than most. 85% of the sold out audience in my screening of Backrooms will NEVER go see a movie from *the director of Backrooms " again because of the behavior of the "new audience" it brought in.
