Former interim head coach, Jason Jackson, is now the associate head coach. Coach Rob Vaughn did not have a previous relationship with “JJ” yet still kept Jackson on the Alabama Baseball coaching staff. Vaughn thoroughly described Jackson’s impact: “[Jackson] trusted me in a time where that guy didn’t have to do that. He had some people calling to hire him that summer. He had just led the team through a great thing, there were some big time pitching coach jobs that were open wanting to talk to him and he chose Alabama.”
