Wrong. At least the pan. You have to use very hot water on a warm-hot pan to steam clean it. I do this with carbon steel and cast iron. Soap kills your seasoning. Just don’t use cold water on a hot pan. However restaurant skillets get ice thrown in them at the end of a shift so there’s that.
