Every strength coach nerd loves to bring up “the research.” They’ll argue about growth plates… Debate the perfect age to start strength training … But they miss the point. Because they don’t actually work with kids… They’re just looking for clicks and likes. Kids aren’t ready based on age. They’re ready based on maturity. A child is ready when they can listen, stay focused, and follow instructions safely. That might be age 7… That might be age 12… There’s no rush. Some kids still need to play tag… Run relay races… Others might be ready for more structured training. The most important thing? Having fun. That’s the long game. Because every child is different. Strength training done right isn’t about heavy weights or improving performance in the short term. It’s about movement… Coordination… Confidence… And in my experience… When kids start asking about strength— That’s your green light.

We teach our students entrepreneurship from a young age. This is an annual flea market where students bring their used toys, books and anything they don’t want to school to sell to their fellow schoolmates and even teachers. Before the market starts, we teach them how to advertise, price, negotiate and give change. This way, they can learn the art of buying and selling, get rid of things they don’t want and have fun. These are practical skills and knowledge that we should also give our children in Nigeria. Not all of them, but some of them will find their calling in business and can start at a young age. Our teachers have an instrumental role to play in teaching them, encouraging them and gaining other skills other than just teaching students what is in text books. The online world now is providing more opportunities to do business, and kids should be in this action. It will sow seeds for our future business ecosystem and add more value to our economy.

Do you have an annoying “muscle knot” in your upper back region? Here’s the fix ✅ This feels so good and hits that area just right. But the key is proper execution! Make sure not to “try too hard”. Doing that will create more tension and less potential for expanding and decompressing that area. I recommend a 4-5/10 intensity (absolute max) for all the actions & cues described. When we have sensations of “muscle knots” in this area, it’s usually because you have over time built up a restriction of the ability to expand your posterior ribcage with each breath you take. Naturally we should get expansion of a large area in our back ribcage called our Posterior Mediastinum. As we become more sedentary, lose variability of movement, build up injuries, etc, this space can become progressively more closed off. When that happens, tissues back there can become a bit “stuck” and unable to elongate/move as easily as they once did. This sensation can feel like a “muscle knot”, but muscle knots don’t really exist as you think they may. They’re just often times restricted tissue/adhesions in some capacity.

Gupta: I had a chance to speak to a lot of radiology colleagues at the best academic institutions in the country over the last 24 hours… They had justified getting an MRI of the torso for primary screening of some sort of medical process because he’s older, and that doesn’t exist. I’m not aware, and my colleagues across the spectrum in radiology are not aware, of that type of screening process. You just don’t do it. The fact that they reported only the cardiovascular and abdominal findings is odd. Did he get a full-body MRI because that’s in vogue among a certain subsegment of society, and they just reported the cardiac and the abdominal finding? Then why? Did they leave out everything else? Did they just get a torso MRI? Why These are the most credentialed radiologists in the country. I challenge anybody to find a group of people more credentialed and more accomplished and who know what to do and when to do MRIs than the folks I’ve spoken with. No one is aware of any type of screening guideline that says as you age you should get an MRI of the heart and abdomen.

"Connor was the best scene partner I could have asked for. Someone who's just as enthused to go over lines, constantly talk about the characters, the story, the nuances FROM WHEN WE WAKE UP AND WE'RE IN EACH OTHER'S LITTLE APARTMENTS going over the lines to right before we sleep." they've basically been "living together" for those 3 months, spending every waking min with each other: on set, training on the rink or at the gym, off set back to their little place, rehearsing or just hanging out. They've been confiding and relying on e/o all that time, only growing more & more closer. To the point, it felt so natural for them to have a matching tattoo, to kinda mark that bond, cause it was truly a life-changing experience and the person they met on that set (even before), they wanted to keep and cherish forever as a visible part of them. Because they had genuinely become a real constant in each other's life. "He's my emotional support person in life" ; "He's my stability" .. despite the distance, the time, this only grew stronger and truer. And you can feel that anytime they do reunite, they always gravitate back towards each other, like that's part of their inner balance now. Life doesn't make sense anymore without this, without "us". Sun & Moon, Yin & Yang, Shane & Ilya, Hudson & Connor.. some things are just meant to be, aren't they ? 💖 (Connor would answer "we're soulmates" and he'd be right 😘)
