Some melodies arenโt just meant to be heard, they can be experienced visually, too. Pachelbelโs โCanon in Dโ offers a captivating blend of music and visual beauty.

The most beautiful melody ever composed. My absolute favorite of all time.

This is wonderful!

Gorgeous! A delight for ear and eye. And very nearly hypnotic! (Whoever prepares these videos deserves an award or recompense of some kind!)

If you are not moved by this song then there is something wrong with you.

Transiberian Orchestra used Pachelbelโs โCanon in Dโ in one of their Christmas songs.

Wow., thatโs so wonderful to watch. Such a simply written piece of music that is just so beautiful to hear. Thank you for sharing that. ๐ถ

How about on guitar?

End of year, a group of my 8th graders came in and said they needed some sad music, as they knew they'd never see each other again. I put this on and you wouldn't believe the waterworks. Had to leave the room, as it was making me tear up watching those girls mourn.

When music becomes a work of art, the soul listens before the ears, and every note becomes a beauty we can see as well as hear.

The first time I heard this song really resonated with me. I was in a restaurant with my ex husb. and there was an instrument there that was playing this piece. The instrument was a marimba...it was so beautiful and I've never forgotten that night.

These are like visual ASMR. I dig them so much.

Perfect visual of how the treble and bass clef are needed simultaneously. Requires reading the Grand Staff.

I just love these visualizations.

This was in his head. Thatโs the thing I canโt get over when it comes to some of these timeless classics. It was in their head. They heard it in their head and they wrote it down. It was all in their head. You know how they say โitโs all in your headโ? Yea. It was.

I can hear it with the sound off. Perfection.

Looks like Blues Traveler's 'Hook' to me

@Watchdog_MP This is a cover version. The original was a Blues Traveler song called Hook.

makes me sad when the top dots die.

Love it. A few modern songs have incorporated this magical melody.

How about Canon in D with some nice vocals, I wrote.... "Canon by Candlelight" Pachelbel / Campbell

Music is beautiful, no way around it. For some reason it brings to mind Forever Young by Alphaville

I will never forget the public school teachers who tried to do it right. Playing the classical melodies while we did work in class was more helpful than I remember being able to appreciate.

Cellists reading this

That is badass! Never understood how to read music. This makes it way easier to understand.

Whatโs with this arrangement? The structure that makes it a canon is gone.

This is a perfect wedding march choice. Beautiful ๐

How lovely ๐

One of the best things I did, when we got married 29 years ago, was to have a string quartet play during the ceremony and cocktail hour. This, of course, was the walk down the aisle song โค๏ธ

So beautiful, I chose this to walk down the aisle at my wedding, nearly 40 years ago.

Beautiful!
