You’re waiting hours in A&E to be seen yet the NHS is turning doctors away from helping you. One of the reasons this is happening is because the Government has deliberately capped how many doctors are allowed to train to become future Consultants/GPs. This year, 40,000 doctors applied for just 10,000 training jobs. For A&E, doctors had to out compete 13 others for every single A&E training job, while emergency departments overflow and patients wait 10+ hours to be seen. That contradiction should shock everyone. And it’s happening alongside a pay crisis. Resident doctors are now earning 20% less in real terms than in 2008, with Wes Streeting recommending another real terms pay cut this April. Doctors are being blocked from training, underpaid, and then blamed for a system that’s breaking. That’s why Resident Doctors are reballoting on jobs and pay. Resident doctors in England: There is ONE DAY LEFT to request a replacement ballot if you don’t have one: 👉 Return your ballot on the jobs and pay campaign by 26th January. Vote YES and make sure your colleagues vote as well. Patients are waiting and doctors are being locked out from helping by the Government.

A woman and her husband walk to the patio bar and sit down, they start ordering drinks and cocktails without even looking at the prices on the menu. A little while later they go to cash out, the woman is outraged and shocked that the prices are expensive. She refuses to pay and is getting ready to leave, the police are called and they arrive. The woman is still being stubborn and claims she will pay them what she wants to pay them because she feels the prices shouldn’t be so high. What do you think should happen to her in this instance. Should the restaurant just eat the cost and ban her for life, or should the police just arrest her for theft and let her spend the weekend in jail?
