I respectfully disagree with the Deion effect not having an impact. If you keep everything about Ashton Jeanty and Travis Hunter’s seasons the exact same except that Deion is the coach at Boise State and Spencer Danielson is at Colorado, I think Jeanty wins the award handily.

what would actually happen is some people who voted Jeanty this time around would end up voting Hunter

I'm gonna stop you right there. No chance Travis Hunter was going to play both ways for any team over than the team where Coach Prime is at because he's the only guy that would let him play both ways in college. That's why he flipped his commitment from FSU to Jackson State. I'm glad someone like Coach Prime allowed someone like Travis Hunter to play both ways. Now, we are seeing more players play both ways in college. And because of Travis Hunter, two-play players will now be in the discussion for many seasons to come. I hope Travis Hunter is not the only two-way athlete to win the Heisman within the next ten years.

There will be like 3 more Ashton Jeantys before there will be even just ONE more Travis Hunter in the next 12-15 years….thats why he won 🤷🏽‍♂️
