Baker Mayfield is a gamer. He is a pretty solid player and one that has a huge chip on his shoulder. But one thing he is not, is a franchise QB. He did have a better year than Tom Brady did last year. And Bowles isn't exactly a great coach either.

1 of 8 quarterbacks were left and Baker was one of them. Kirk cousins has never been able to say that. Pay the man and give him a running game

The best medium term solution is keep Baker and load up on athletes where they are needed most. Or grab Wilson, incentive bonus his contract, and load up on athletes where they are needed most.
