She was almost full term, could see and feel that baby wriggle around, if she didn’t want the child she could have given it up for adoption, I’m sure she still had to give birth to a still born, how traumatic, feel for the woman but it’s so wrong what she did

Basically highlights that law needs updating from the 1860's. Yes it was wrong. She was however desperate, there were not adequate medical facilities available to get help. Her 3 children should not suffer a missing mum for 14 months a suspended sentence would suffice

This is not in the public interest. A suspended sentence would have been sufficient We will have anti abortion laws next just like the US. What purpose does this jailing serve? Especially to her children?
