However, upon arrival, I saw little to no representation of Black history, culture, or community. The lack of authenticity was disappointing, but what was even more frustrating was the miscommunication. The email I received clearly stated this was a Black History Month event, yet the actual execution did not reflect that in any meaningful way. Additionally, my experience was made worse by an interaction with a staff member who rudely instructed us to move our booth. This unprofessionalism only added to my frustration.
