Gotta be honest. While I normally don’t let someone other than Joe throw the ball, especially goal to go, it was second down and the QB doesn’t get covered on those 99% of the time. That is low on the bad call plays from Zac

Mixon was killllin them. And this was a tight smash mouth game. If we punch in here we probably win the game cause then Burrow takes the lead in this game with like 50 secs left. This was a field position game, running trick plays in this spot is not even needed, his feel for the game is off sometimes.

Putting it in the paint was the key though. If you think Mixon on second down to score is the call, that’s fine. But we were down and I would rather see a trick play there than on third. And trust me. Zac has taken the ball out of Joe’s hands too often. I am not his buddy

@zimwhodey Slants in man coverage aren’t 50-50 balls. You’re not even reading coverage unless the DB instantly gets inside leverage off the snap. As has been shown many times, it was a bad route by Chase and a great play by Humphrey. The issue is the Bengals had run slants 3-4 straight

@zimwhodey Marlon was all over him. Never should’ve forced that unless you’re putting it in on his back hip where Chase could catch it going to ground or something. But why even throw a ball on 2nd down late in the game with the lead that won’t even get you close to the first down?
