Somebody give this man a Blue Peter badge. 🙌👏

You can imagine the @bbcquestiontime producers running around backstage in a blind panic shouting: “how did that one get let into the audience?” and Fiona Bruce having a meltdown in the green room afterwards.

Actually have tears in my eyes watching that. Thank you to that man, whoever he is, for reminding me that we can do and be so much better. And that, I've got to believe, we are decent and compassionate as a society. Long since time we voted the Tories out.

@BraidseaQuine He deserves one 👏👏👏 Tories think the people of Britain are a bunch of racist bigots like 30p Lee Anderson and Gullis, we’re not those people and know this “stop the boats” is nothing more than an election campaign. Tories campaign slogan “Stop The Boats To Get More Votes”

The speed with which Fiona Bruce stemmed the applause & moved the conversation on to the next person was staggering. Can't allow moderate, compassionate, and intelligent conversation to permeate into the QT narrative for too long, I suppose.

Absolutely perfect description of what is going on. Using the media to make a warm topic a very hot one to distract people’s thoughts away from the real issues in the Uk that they have created and do not want to solve.

Yeh, he was spot on. And brave too. It’s not easy to do what he did if you’re not used to being in that kind of spotlight.

Blessed are the articulate, he got it all out there good, cheers to him👍

This is the best response from a @bbcquestiontime audience member I've seen. He's really hit the nail on the head. 👏

The look of sadness on Lord Clarke’s face too, recognising what has happened to his party and how the country now views them.
