That's pretty wild... Programming the global financial markets by yourself is like claiming that one person could create the internet and all of its content. The markets are wicked efficient, and respond quickly to new information...

No developer would ever expect a complex system like a market algorithm to be written once and never need support. Continuous maintenance and updates are just part of running large-scale systems. But hey, maybe NYSE Technology, NASDAQ OMX, and CME keep their big engineering teams around for no reason.
