Somebody in my Youtube comments just told me about this old unreleased arcade game called Vertexer and man… LOOK AT THIS

ヴァ―テクサーは特殊な大型筐体で稼働した日本国内のみで発売されたゲームです。出回りは相当少なくて数年前に日本のオークションで動作未チェックの基板が出品された際は争奪戦になって250万円前後で落札されました。

It looks like a racing version of Galaxy Force II.

Recently I imported a rather rare Taito board as well that apparently can play this. It's called Galactic Storm on the Taito Z-System. Wild tech.

there's a few working PCBs of this game floating around, but they're in the hands of collectors who refuse to dump them. it's a shitty situation that's unfortunately common with arcade games

they were playing goddamn hogan's alley in 2010 in back to the future 2 but not one person on that production could imagine THIS

A lot of cancelled games are cancelled for pretty obvious reasons if you just look at the gameplay but I can't really peg it for this one.
