"Somebody that says Quebec is racist needs to know more about Quebec. There is no society in this whole continent which is more welcoming than Quebec," says Bloc Leader Yves-François Blanchet ahead of his meeting with Amira Elghawaby, the federal anti-Islamophobia representative.

You remember this right? When Joyce filmed her death on social medial, as she died being called racial slurs, in a Quebec hospital?

try to order food in Quebec without trying to do it en français first, they will pretend they can't hear you. Quebec refuses to put up English signage, even underneath French. Quebec says it's illegal to wear a hijab or a turban at work if you're a gvmt employee. Welcoming?

I guess having laws about what you can wear and in which contexts your language isn't an affront to mainstream society don't count as unwelcoming or intolerant let alone straight up xenophobic knee-jerk racism so deeply ingrained you think it's your culture

Bonjour tout le monde

Si vous voulez voir le racisme à son meilleur, lisez ces commentaires des anglos.

Does anybody remember the anglophone exodus from Quebec? Anybody? #quepoli #canpoli

Might not be so racist, if you are a white Quebecer. Nice to see a white guy telling others that they aren't. Somehow it is reassuring, isn't it?

Sure! That's why Quebec was the heartland of the Nazis in Canada pre, during and post WW2!

Ya, I don't think so. It's no more welcoming than any other province, and it's got its share of racists just like any other province. And Bill 21 - wtf is up with that? That's driving a wedge between groups.

Now why did everybody read this in Donald Tr*mp’s voice?
