Someone asked me today: “I’m doing everything right but I’m not losing weight. Help.” I get this message constantly. And I remember feeling exactly this way. Here’s what nobody tells you: when your metabolism has been broken for years, genuinely broken, not just “a little sluggish,” your body has...

Everyone keeps telling her to eat less fat so her body will burn stored fat. But it is not working. And there is a reason for that. When you come from a background of insulin resistance your body has literally lost the ability to tap into stored fat. Elevated insulin for extended periods shoves glucose into your fat cells and locks it behind closed doors. Your liver is still running around looking for glucose because that is all it has ever known. You cannot fix that by eating less fat. You fix it by flooding your body with fat. I am talking 150 to 200 grams a day. You have to force your liver to stop looking for glucose and finally accept fat as its fuel source. That is not maintenance eating. That is metabolic retraining. And before you close this post let me remind you what fat actually does for your body. Your brain is nearly 60% fat. Every single one of your hormones is made from fat. Your cell membranes are made from fat. Fat carries your fat soluble vitamins, A, D, E and K, without fat you cannot absorb them at all. Fat keeps you satiated, stabilizes your mood, gives you steady energy, and keeps your hormones balanced. Fat is not the enemy. Fat is literally the building material your body runs on. About 70% of your calories should be coming from fat. That is not a typo. Once your liver concedes and fat becomes the rule of the land that is fat adaptation. And THAT is when you can start pulling back on dietary fat slightly and let your body tap into its own stores. That is when the weight really starts moving. I know it sounds completely backwards. I lived on low fat my entire life and ballooned to 330 pounds eating way too many carbohydrates. It took me months to unlearn everything I had been taught. The answer has always been fat. It will always be fat.👑

RETATRUTIDE is NOT JUST for WEIGHT LOSS… …and the fact that that’s what everyone is obsessing over tells me we’re still missing the point. 🙃 Because what I’m looking at? It’s not just the scale. It’s what’s happening underneath it. We’re talking 24% body weight reduction in trials… sure. BUT ALSO: 47% drop in inflammatory markers in 12 weeks. 2.1% drop in HbA1c. 42% reduction in visceral fat (the dangerous kind hugging your organs). 🫁 And then it gets uncomfortable… 31% lower cardiovascular mortality. 28% fewer heart attacks. 22% fewer strokes. Like… pause there. Because if this was just about weight loss… those numbers wouldn’t exist. This is metabolism. This is inflammation. This is mitochondrial signaling. 🧬 And THIS is where I start side-eyeing the narrative. Because you’ve been told this is about “calories” and “willpower.” Meanwhile your body is sitting there like— “Hey… I’m inflamed. I’m insulin resistant. I’m storing for a reason.” 👀 And instead of asking why… We’ve been handed drugs and told to shrink. But here’s the part nobody’s talking about… What happens when you stop? With semaglutide (Ozempic)… about 72% of people regain the weight. Tirzepatide? Around 60%. Retatrutide? ONLY 5–10%. That’s not a small difference. That’s a completely different conversation. Because now we’re NOT just talking about weight suppression… We’re talking about whether the terrain (esp hormones and body talk) actually changed. And if you’ve ever felt like you’re doing everything right… but your body keeps pulling you back… this matters more than you think. Because your body isn’t trying to sabotage you. It’s responding to something deeper. If you want me to break down what this actually means… and how peptides are shifting the entire conversation— Comment PEPTIDES and I’ll send you the full breakdown. 💡 #peptides #biohacking #womenshealth #hormones #healthandwellbeing

365 days ago I made a decision that saved my life. Not a diet. Not another fresh start that fizzled out by February. A decision to stop doing what was killing me and start doing what my body was actually built for. Today is my one year carniversary. And I need you to see this. 140 pounds gone. Type 2 diabetes reversed. Blood pressure normalized. Sleep apnea gone. Inflammation gone. Depression and anxiety gone. My body back. My LIFE back. No surgery. No injections. No pills. No trainer. No one carrying me through it. Just me. My daughter. This community. The data. And a decision I made and kept making every single day for 365 days. This post is not about weight loss. It is about a woman who was dying slowly and didn’t fully realize it. It is about what happens when you stop managing symptoms and start healing the actual cause. It is about what your body is capable of when you stop poisoning it and start feeding it what it was designed to run on. I wrote a book about everything I learned this year because I needed it to exist. I needed there to be something someone could pick up when they were exactly where I was a year ago, exhausted and sick and out of options, and see a way through. I am not the woman I was 365 days ago. I don’t recognize her anymore. I love her for surviving. But I don’t miss her. If you are sitting there right now thinking it is too late, or you have too much to lose, or your body is too broken, or you have tried everything… I was you. This changed my life. It saved my life. And it can save yours too. 🥩365 days. Just getting started.

Ozempic is trending because of this viral video of Tacha where she finally looks like a 24yo girl, the age she’s been claiming. Everyone is saying she used Ozempic for the drastic weight loss. Let me explain Ozempic in the simplest way. First of all understand that Ozempic wasn’t originally designed for weight loss.. even the weight loss is somehow a side effect that has other deadly side effects. Simply, Ozempic is a medication for people suffering chronic type 2 diabete, approved in 2017. In type 2 diabetes, the blood has excess sugar, and the pancreas is too weak to produce insulin. But, atleast, its still producing some quantity. Insulin is what helps in regulating the blood sugar and convert food to energy. Basically, Insulin takes the Glucose (Sugar), from your blood and spreads it all over your cells, giving you energy and keeping you smart. Sugar which is gotten from food. Now, if your pancreas isn’t producing enough Insulin. It means, the glucose meant to be spread across your body, will now remain in one place, the blood. Causing High Blood Sugar, aka Diabetes. When there is too much Insulin, Low Blood Sugar (Your body is processing the sugars too fast).. you get? HBS — This will often make you urinate, because your body is trying to remove the glucose. Cause fatigue (no energy), constantly hungry (cells not receiving enough energy) etc.. Diabetes doesn’t cause Obesity though, but the constant hunger may, cause it. But highly unlikely. Now, what Ozempic does is.. it helps you motivate your pancreas, tame the livers.. help get the blood sugar moving. Particularly for Type 2 diabetes. So, because of this, it will help you eat less, by telling your brain that, you are not really hungry,.. just take two spoons of amala, you’d be full. Technically you are not full o. But the Ozempic is making you feel as though, you are filled. So if Obesed, or the extra weight you gained because of blood sugar wahala, the Ozempic attempts to correct it. So celebs are now abusing the drug. Normally you are to take it once a week, for 1 month.. injecting it to your stomach or thighs. But your celebs, do up to 5/6 shots a week. For quick result. Normally, the GLP-1 hormones that tell you brain you are full, lasts for minutes. That’s why when you are eating and you are filled, you can start eating again after like 10min. But you see Ozempic? It will make you feel full for up to 8hrs. Even if you take one spoon of amala. To save themselves from lawsuit, Ozempic has repeatedly announced that Ozempic is not a weight loss medicine. Because of the heavy side effects, like Cancer. Which they explicitly labeled on their website. But guess what.. Americans are now using it in droves. So that, when anything bad happens. They’d sue and cash out. Which will likely eventually happen because.. Apart from the side effects; the food you eat under Ozempic, takes longerrr to digest and leave your system. So, the longer it stays, the more your body re-absorbs waste materials that should have left. And where does this stay? — in the Colon and Intestinal tracts.. yep, over time…Cancer 🙂 How to know if someone used Ozempic for weight loss. — Their body becomes flappy and for regular sized people, like Tacha..they’d just become slimmer without any shred of muscle. I’m not saying Tacha used it😉. I’m just using her to explain. Tacha claims it’s from gym. But.. hmmm. You be the judge. People have died due to addiction. Yep, it’s addictive. And somehow it has found its way into Nigerian markets, although exclusively. Some popular people who have come out to admit they used Ozempic; Oprah Winfrey, Ice Spice, Whoooi Goldberg, Amy Shumer, Tracy Morgan, etc.. up to 100. Now imagine the number of those who used it but can’t come out. Sha follow Trending Explained for daily explanations. And go see Love LockDown in cinemas this weekend.🔓❤️

When all we know is calories in versus calories out and move your ass harder at the gym, our body holds onto fat for dear life! Especially once we’re over 35 Especially once we’ve had children Especially when we’re in perimenopause or menopause Especially when we have no idea how to regulate our nervous system You see when your body does not feel safe , meaning it constantly is in fight or flight mode from all of the so-called dinosaurs chasing you every day, it won’t release the weight. Our bodies are actually very simple It’s just that they feel like they’re most important job is to keep you alive not thin 🤷‍♀️ So when you are constantly dealing with chronic stress every day, it shuts down your digestive track as well as disrupts your hormones and inflames your body, all to keep you alive. I know it seems counterproductive, but after all you are alive still, right! if you want to truly lose weight and keep it off and actually feel healthy enough to get good sleep and enjoy your life. It’s not going to be about calories in versus calories out. It’s not going to be about killing yourself in the gym. It’s going to be about learning to regulate your nervous system and get out of chronic stress mode ! This is possible I’ve done it And yes, I’m 50 years old and have three kids and homeschooled and own my own business and went through a divorce and have much trauma and abuse and neglect and everything else that you want to put on the plate . So there’s no excuses for you , if I can do it, so can you. And I’m here to help you do just that! If you want to get healthy once and for all , not just with a sexy physique, but with a healthy mind, body and soul… DM me Phoenix 🔥

I lost 138 lbs eating 120-150 grams of fat a day. Let me say that again for the people in the back. One hundred and fifty grams of fat. Per day. Bacon. Butter. Egg yolks. Chuck steak. Ground beef. I was flooding my body with animal fat and my body responded by healing everything. My hormones balanced. My insulin resistance reversed. My metabolism healed. My inflammation dropped. My brain fog cleared. My skin improved. My joints stopped aching. All from eating the one thing we’ve been told for 50 years would kill us. Here’s what they don’t tell you about fat. Your brain is nearly 60% fat. Every single cell in your body has a fat based membrane that controls what goes in and out. Your hormones, the ones that regulate everything from your mood to your metabolism to your menstrual cycle, are built from fat. Specifically saturated fat and cholesterol. The very things they told us to stop eating. Fat is what allows your body to absorb vitamins A, D, E, and K. Without fat, you can eat all the vegetables in the world and your body can’t even use the nutrients. Fat is what keeps you full. Fat is what keeps your blood sugar stable. Fat is what gives your body long, steady energy instead of the crash and burn cycle you get from carbs and sugar. And what did we do? We went low fat. We replaced butter with margarine. We replaced lard and tallow with seed oils. We filled everything with sugar to make up for the flavor we lost when we took the fat out. And then we wondered why everyone got sick, got fat, got diabetic, got depressed, and got put on fifteen medications. The low fat era was the biggest nutritional disaster in modern history. And we’re still living in the fallout. I ate more fat than most people would ever be comfortable with. And it gave me my life back.🧈👑

I’ve lost 138 pounds. Reversed my insulin resistance, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, depression, and anxiety. Perimenopause symptoms, gone. PMS, gone. Cramps, gone. Gut issues, almost fully healed. SIBO, gone. The only thing I still work on is my gallbladder and some irregular bile dumping, but that’s expected when you have stones and sludge. I’m actively working on it. Now. Something I hear a lot in my comments is “Isn’t that boring? Don’t you get bored eating that? I could never.” No. I really don’t. There are so many combinations of animal products you can eat. The most nutrient dense is red meat, specifically ruminant animals like beef and lamb that ferment their food through rumination. That’s the gold standard. But you can also eat chicken, fish, pork, and plenty of other options. It does not have to be boring. If you tolerate dairy, you can add it in on occasion. I wouldn’t recommend eating a ton of it though, especially hard cheeses or cottage cheese, because they can slow weight loss and stop you up. Yes, I’ve had that experience. It’s not fun. I have to really watch my cheese intake. LMAO. But here’s the real answer to the “boring” question. When you heal your relationship with food and you’re no longer eating to be entertained, no longer eating for comfort, no longer chasing flavor just for the sake of it, and you start eating because your body is genuinely hungry and genuinely needs those nutrients, everything changes. This is something I’ve experienced firsthand. When you sit down and you’re truly hungry, you’re going to eat what’s in front of you. Period. You’re not going to let yourself starve. The truth is, most of the time we eat it’s not even real hunger. It’s “oh it’s been five hours, I should probably eat something.” Or it’s “I had a bad day and I need comfort.” When you stop approaching food that way and your relationship with it shifts to the point where you see it as medicine, as something that heals and nourishes your body in the best way possible, something wild happens. You start to actually crave those foods. I crave steak. I crave cheeseburgers. I crave fat. Never in my life did I think I’d say that. And here I am. Craving fat. So no, to answer your question, I don’t get bored. Because food is not my focus anymore. And honestly, that’s the real problem out there. Food has become everyone’s focus. Not a means for survival but a means for entertainment and pleasure. We’ve got to break that cycle. So eat the meat. Eat the eggs. Eat the kielbasa if that’s what you can afford. Eat the bacon. Eat the ground beef. If you can afford rib eyes every day, go for it. If you can’t, don’t feel bad about it. Not even for a second. I don’t gatekeep information. This is not rocket science, y’all. I don’t even crave those old foods anymore. Not the pasta. Not the garlic bread. Not the ice cream. Not the sandwiches. I do crave soup, but I can kind of have that on carnivore so we’re good. LOL. My point is this. Heal your relationship with food and you won’t be asking that question anymore. Is it boring? No. It was never about the food.👑
