Someone built a cool tool with Perplexity Computer to port a Spotify Playlist to Youtube Music automatically by just pasting a playlist URL. Cross service migrations are going to be seamless with tools like Computer.

Cross-platform music migration has been a nightmare… until now.

I guess YouTube can already do that. It can port any playlist from Spotify in seconds.🤔

Yep. Perplexity Computer makes the browser part look easy. The real pain in cross service migrations is track matching. ISRC first, then artist and title fallback makes this work.

This is so cool and useful too

Damn. Useful

What is the status on lost paid Pro accounts?? Sam seems to be on holiday, dont respond anymore and their is also no response on discord. Can you provide some information and tell us whats happening?

There’s a million tools online which dont need a 100$ AI Subscription.

This Spotify → YouTube Music tool is super practical—love seeing what people are building with Computer already! Quick question for those of us on Pro: any update on when Computer (with these agent capabilities) will roll out to Pro plans? Still 'coming soon' after load tests, or do you have a rough ETA/timeline in mind? Thanks!

perplexity is actually pretty underrated for this sort of stuff, glad someone's leveraging its power

Hey, I can’t sign in to comet, through Sign in with Apple, the passkey function, your ai support team assistant Sam doesn’t work. I tried to Sign in with Apple in other browsers it works… please fix this tks.

This is honestly the stuff that sells people on Computer more than any demo. Everyone has that ONE annoying cross-platform task they've been putting off for months. Migrating playlists, moving files between services, syncing accounts. This just deletes the problem from a chat window. What's next — full Google Drive to Notion migrations?

When the thread loops back onto itself, it feels like a conversation with our own echo—reminding us that sometimes the only audience is the idea itself.

been lately enjoying the computer

computer is insanely impressive af, but so sad i burnt through my 45k credits in a week now waiting for the billing cycle to end lmao

oh this is a cool idea! I actually needed to move my youtube music playlist to apple music

spotify uses a proprietary isrc mapping that makes 100% accuracy on those youtube transfers pretty rare

this is dope. wonder what the api usage costs look like at scale?

Cross-platform stuff getting way smoother with these tools

Pretty amazing

Spotify URL → Perplexity Computer → YouTube Music. One paste. Seamless migration. Now verify the migrator. 41.7% of audited skills had substantive findings.

Please dear CEO, do something, my Perplexity Max subscription just disappeared today. Still got my projects old tasks done with Computer but for some reason I just don't have my Max status anymore after only 10 days of using it @AravSrinivas

Cross-service migrations being seamless is the dream. Funny how that's still novel for consumer apps but somehow feels impossible when switching AI providers even though it's just an API endpoint. The portability bar should be higher for infrastructure than for playlists.

Didn’t Claude just do something similar with chatGPT and porting your chat history across. I think this may be the new power play move from companies to ease migration fears. Imagine being able to do this stuff at scale, stuff that usually takes businesses 6 months to do could take a matter of hours.

cross-service migration is a perfect use case because the steps are deterministic and success criteria are clear. more of this instead of the open-ended agent demos.

this is impressive but Spotify and YouTube Music have official APIs for exactly this. the interesting question is why nobody built the simple version years ago

I’m trying perplexity computer on web but it doesn’t do anything. Just freezes on input

What’s interesting is the metadata loss—track versions, regional availability, and user‑generated playlists often carry context that won’t survive a blind copy.

This is where things start to get interesting. Once AI can move data and actions across services, the boundaries between apps start to matter less and workflows become the real product layer.

it's already built in when you onboard on yt music though

This is the most wanted tool right now for music lovers!

Does Spotify want users leaving seamlessly? What's the actual business incentive for platforms to enable seamless migration?

Can we make YouTube playlists by this, as in the agent goes and create playlist of the videos you mention?

Cool use of agent tooling. But as agents start moving data across services automatically, the real question becomes: not just can it do it but can we verify what it did and why?
